Tokio Hotel à l'Arena, l'hystérie? À voir... (12.07.08)

English

9500 people, most of them teenage girls, went to Tokio Hotel concert Saturday at the Arena. If the hysteria of fans has created problems at the entrance, the concert was on the other hand uneventful notable. The safety device was one of the largest ever put in place at the Arena.

Tokio Hotel in the Arena, it's done! Last Saturday, they were 9500 spectators to applaud the German group.

In the crowd, a majority of girls aged between 12 and 14 years, or approximately 80% of the public. Boys also a little. And adults. Parents for the most part. "There were many 10%. Some are even fans, "says Michael Drieberg, organizer of the concert. "We waiting that young."

Put all this in the World Arena. Here, the singer Bill and his companions landed, delivering a set rock as smooth and effective, in German in the text. An hour and forty-five minutes of delivery. The usual service for all appointments of this importance. It remains therefore to interpret the reaction of the crowd Saturday at the concert. Tokio Hotel, said to be causing extreme reactions from fans. It is true there on the ground? Two options, really. Two grids reading. With or without hysteria.

Hysteria, when you hold us
"Hiiiiiiiiiii!" The fans, mostly teenage girls, screaming at them péter the eardrums. And with ours. A few minutes of a curtain raiser, scheduled for 19 am 30, the slightest sound from the scene provokes cries of the public.

Finally, the group arrives. Are awaited with anxiety the first fainting. "Already 90," we learned with astonishment. Indeed, the doors of the hall were not yet open than bold for itself the best seats, grew more than reason. In the end, including concert, 375 people were evacuated urgently. Leading causes fatigue and dehydration. However, three ambulances specially reserved for the evening were not requested.

During the concert, barriers autoporteuses posed in front of the stage, the same as is used for open air for 50 000 people have moved an inch. "From ever seen. The fans were concentrated at the center, in front of the stage. Imagine 8 or 9 people per square metre! The pressure was enormous barriers. "
Concert as another ...

If the mass of fans - one kilometer tail - gave twisting over to security personnel at the entrance to the Arena, the picture is markedly different in regard to the conduct of the concert. "We expected worse, is a seasoned bouncer. Except malaise, the atmosphere is very good child. "

After the first quarter of an hour, the howls are much more discreet. It looked cries continuously? This is not the case. On the bleachers, mostly family space, is content to move in pace, the more confident standing, sometimes imitated by their parents. It lifts the arms, one tends fingers, sings in choir. A boy of 9 or 10 years mime a solo guitar, lap ashore. Sitting behind him, his mother smiled with an air heard.

There he is, the phenomenon Tokio Hotel. After the core of admirers pure and hard, pâmoison before this alter ego ideal embodied by the androgynous singer, the bulk of the troops, teenagers and children, found at the Arena entertainment simply pleasant, alloy effective postures and prepubescent chipés of gimmicks to a universe much more deleterious. Tokio Hotel, is rock'n'roll without "sex" or "drugs.

"We, the first row or nothing!"
Michael Drieberg, organizer of the concert, knew the concert Tokio Hotel was not going to be a small matter. For the safety of young audiences, he said he expected "the greatest device ever put in place at the Arena for eleven years."

Saturday afternoon before the concert, fans shout yet "anarchy". "This morning, around 6 pm, security officers have moved the security barriers, explain Yren and its friends, who camped on the spot last week. It did nothing: full of hysterical fans have rushes to the doors. The Swiss German tried to bite us instead, but it has not left to do. We, the first row or nothing! "

Around 11 o'clock in the morning, Anna, Liza, Manon, Marylin, Laura and Valerie expect seated on the front of the Arena. Girls do not hide their disappointment about the organization. "There is parking at Lausanne and Sion around 4 o'clock in the morning. Nothing was scheduled to host this entire world in front of the entrance. Some groupies come to disembark and enter the room before us. "Security officers themselves," rigolaient, taking pictures, but did not act, "they add.

Cutters confiscated <------
For Michael Drieberg, "the maximum has been done. These girls did not sleep on public roads for several days. It went daily to explain what would happen at the entrance the day of the concert. The barriers have been displaced early in the morning in order to install more resistant that are normally destined for the front-scenes. "This system has not been introduced earlier because, according to the organizer," it would have condoned the presence of adolescent girls. " He added: "By staying here so long, they become aggressive, they strongly defend their square metre. It has even confiscated needles and cutters. "
